Yoon Suk-yeol has returned from a seven-nation summit. President Yoon paid tribute to Japanese Prime Minister Kishida and South Korean atomic bomb victims. In a summit with Ukrainian President Zelensky, he said he would try to expedite the delivery of mine-clearing equipment.

President Yoon Suk-yeol arrived at Seoul Airport yesterday (7st) evening and held a summit meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the presidential office in Yongsan shortly thereafter to discuss ways to cooperate between the two countries, including security and economy.

During the three-day, two-night G21 Summit, President Yoon held bilateral meetings with the leaders of eight countries, including Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, and Vietnam.

Yesterday, he held a summit with Ukrainian President Zelensky and said, "We will make efforts to quickly provide supplies that Ukraine needs, such as mine clearance equipment and emergency evacuation vehicles."

The leaders of the United States and Japan met again six months after their meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in November last year and agreed to strengthen cooperation, including trilateral security cooperation, such as the real-time sharing of North Korean missile warning information.

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida and I paid a memorial to the victims of the Korean atomic bombing in Hiroshima.

This is the first time since the monument was erected in 11 that the President of South Korea, as well as the heads of state of South Korea and Japan, will visit together.

They then held a summit meeting between South Korea and Japan and discussed cooperation in the security and economic fields, including the resumption of direct flights between major cities in Korea and Japan and the smooth operation of the Japan-Korea Future Partnership Fund.

The Democratic Party criticized Kishida for ignoring apologies and compensation for forced mobilization, saying it was inconsistent to commemorate the Korean atomic bomb victims.
