The Governor of Al-Hasakah, Dr. Louay Sayouh, discussed with the head of the International Red Cross Mission in Syria, Christophe Martin, the reality of drinking water in the governorate in light of the continued suspension of pumping from the Alouk water station, and the need for continued cooperation to secure water for the people.

Sayyouh explained that the governorate continues to cooperate with the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross to increase projects that will alleviate the suffering of the people resulting from the detachments of the unjust siege imposed on Syria, expressing the governorate's readiness to provide everything necessary to facilitate procedures for the ICRC team to carry out its tasks as required.

For his part, the Director of Al-Hasakah Water, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Okla, pointed to the importance of cooperation with international organizations during the current period, given the governorate's need for drinking water and all sterilization requirements, calling for increasing the number of water tanks scattered in neighborhoods and increasing the amount of water that is transported, in addition to providing fuel to desalination plants.

Al-Hasakah Education Director Ilham Surkhan called for providing drinking water for pupils and students during the period of taking the basic and secondary education certificate exams, especially in light of the lack of drinking water due to the continued water cuts, and the suspension of pumping from Alouk station.
