will hold a summit with Ukrainian President Zelensky shortly afterwards.
The meeting reportedly took place at the request of President Zelensky.
President Zelensky made a surprise visit to Hiroshima, Japan, yesterday (20th) afternoon to ask the leaders of the participating countries for their support and support for Ukraine.
Regarding the possibility of the Ukrainian side requesting assistance with lethal weapons, a senior official of the president's office said, "Ukraine can say the same thing to all countries, and our country will make a decision based on our subjectivity and principles, taking into account all environmental constraints."

This is the first time that the leaders of South Korea and Japan have jointly paid a memorial to the Korean atomic bomb victims.
President Yoon and Prime Minister Kishida visited the memorial and laid a bouquet of lilies and bowed in silence for about 10 seconds to pay tribute to the Korean victims.
During the service, about 10 South Korean A-bomb victims sat in the back and watched.
During the Japan-South Korea summit that immediately followed, President Yoon praised Prime Minister Kishida's courage and determination.
