The Sustainability Report 2022, recently issued by Abu Dhabi Police, showed that the artificial intelligence systems adopted by Abu Dhabi Police to improve and enhance levels of safety and security on the roads, including the "Dangerous Driver" system, contributed to a decrease in the number of dangerous drivers by 44.8% in 2022 compared to previous years.

The report stated that artificial intelligence also contributed to the decrease in the rate of serious injuries for 2022, noting that these results were achieved through case analysis systems, traffic simulation and forecasting system, and an effective response enhancement system that contributed to achieving national goals.

He pointed out that in line with the UAE Digital Government Strategy and the Digital Transformation Strategy of the Ministry of Interior, in addition to achieving the Abu Dhabi Government Vision 2030, the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has developed an integrated platform based on artificial intelligence, big data and advanced systems to enhance traffic safety, where the platform through the Safe City System conducts forward-looking analytical processes, identifies and analyzes types of violations, tracks the places and times of accidents and traffic congestion, in addition to conducting proactive analysis of the behavior of Vehicles in order to spread traffic awareness and deal with events efficiently.

The report pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police has introduced innovative initiatives to enhance traffic awareness and culture, including the weather system and alert messages, which is the first initiative of its kind in the world, as this initiative had a positive role in improving the quality of life and increasing traffic safety, and contributed to reducing major violations, and thus reducing dangerous accidents resulting from them.

The report pointed out that other innovative solutions developed by Abu Dhabi Police and employed at work, including "Sahel" devices, which are distinguished innovations to submit legal documents immediately through the device, such as renewal of ownership, driving license and many other options, is the first initiative of its kind locally and regionally.

The report pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police has developed a technology and artificial intelligence strategy to support the UAE smart government strategy and the Ministry of Interior's strategy for transformation 2021 and adapt to them, and Abu Dhabi Police has implemented integrated smart systems to achieve the highest standards of life for members of society in the emirate, and the use of innovative technologies that will increase flexibility and ease of access to customers and ensure early detection of crimes and prevent their occurrence, which contributes to enhancing Abu Dhabi Police's proactive and preventive services.

Smart patrols feature several features that help overcome traffic and security problems by identifying wanted cars and people, and facilitating the reception of electronic reports related to issuing violations and planning accidents electronically. The smart patrol sends a direct alert to the operating room in case of the need for direct intervention, and the smart patrols contribute positively to enhancing the quality of life through a quick and effective response.
