The Minister of Tourism, Eng. Mohamed Rami Radwan Martini, was briefed today on a number of tourism projects in different areas of Aleppo, including the Montana commercial complex project in the Ashrafieh neighborhood, which was restored after the liberation of Aleppo, and was also rehabilitated after being damaged by the earthquake last February, and will be invested in starting from May 28.

The tour also included the areas of the old city, which include restoration, reconstruction and newly constructed projects, most notably the Julia Domina Hotel in the Sabaa Bahrat area, which covers an area of 786 square meters, and has a completion rate of 90 percent, in addition to the hotels of Dar Zamaria, Beit Sharqi and Dar es Salaam.

The minister was also briefed on the project to rehabilitate and develop the technical services building in the vicinity of the citadel of Aleppo, and the Khan Hotel project in Al-Hatab Square, which constitute tourism projects with a heritage character inspired by the old city and its urban system.

Minister Martini pointed to the importance of the projects in terms of securing more than 600 job opportunities, pointing to the most prominent facilities stipulated in Decree No. 13 of 2022 regarding the rehabilitation of affected projects, in addition to the decisions of the Supreme Council for Tourism and government measures aimed at facilitating the progress of reconstruction within the sector.

Aleppo Governor Hussein Ahmed Diab and a number of stakeholders also participated in the tour.
