The activities of the Al-Shahba Poetry Forum concluded this evening in its third session, held by the Directorate of Culture in cooperation with the Workers Union in Aleppo (Printing, Culture and Media Syndicate), and dedicated to the memory of the late Palestinian poet Ahmed Reda Rahma, which witnessed a large participation of Aleppo poets, adults and youth, presenting their poetic works over three days at the Cultural Center in Azizia.

The Director of Culture in Aleppo, Jaber Al-Sajour, said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the forum represents an open platform for poets of all ages, pointing to the keenness of the Ministry of Culture to encourage young people, as the forum is an opportunity to build bridges of experience between veteran poets and talented young poets, and present them to the public who taste literature and are interested in preserving the Arabic language.

The participant in the category of young poets, Ahmed Shalash, indicated that he presents his poems for the second year, and the forum provides an encouraging and motivated atmosphere for young pens that take poetry as a means of recording and documenting reality in general and the individual situation in particular, to present an honest image thanks to the motivation carried by the forum in addition to other activities.

Poet Adnan Al-Darbi pointed to the importance of the forum in securing communication between poets to exchange ideas and experiences and enrich public taste with topics that vary in their titles and methods of presentation.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Shahba Poetry Forum in its third session was launched on May 16 with the participation of 26 poets.
