Winds of up to 45 kilometers per hour hit the Turkish capital Ankara on Wednesday, May 17, uprooting many trees, damaging the roof of a shopping center and the minaret of a mosque. In the financial district, a sofa, along with other items of furniture, flew off a 35-story apartment building and fell tens of meters away. The video taken from a mobile phone and bounced from reddit on social networks has gone viral.
