Al Marar heads UAE delegation to Arab Summit preparatory meetings

Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar headed the UAE delegation participating in the preparatory meetings for the 32nd session of the Arab Summit, which will be held next Friday in Jeddah under the chairmanship of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The preparatory meeting of Arab foreign ministers was held on Wednesday in Jeddah, during which they agreed on the draft agenda of the summit and the draft resolutions to be presented to the leaders at their meeting on Friday.

The current meetings of the Council of the League of Arab States are witnessing the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic in the preparatory work following the reactivation of its membership in the League of Arab States.

During the meetings, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs prepare documents for the leaders' meetings, including consensus on agenda items, draft resolutions and various relevant documents to be submitted to the Summit.

Arab economic ministers held a preparatory meeting for the Arab Economic and Social Council and submitted draft resolutions on economic and social cooperation initiatives, which in turn will be submitted to leaders for approval.
