"There are municipalities that have applied to host the national nuclear waste repository. In 40 years it has not been possible to make the deposit starting from the top. Perhaps the only solution is to start from the bottom." This was stated by the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto.
"I am waiting for an additional investigation" on suitable areas, the minister added, "I do not know if we will be able to close this year".
"I await the opinion on the ministerial decree on renewable energy communities by the hour". On the sidelines of the presentation in Rome of the Circular Economy Network report, the minister added: "International gas prices are quite good, 34 - 35 euros per megawatt hour" and, on bills, "there should no longer be large variations. With storages we are beyond forecasts: we are exceeding 66%. We are moving quickly towards 70%, a level we reached last year in August."
