He added: "To be honest, I thought that Zazu would be handed over in an official way, with the sanctions against him lifted, but it turned out that Ukrainian security drew up a plan to steal the horse from a stable in the Czech Republic in collusion with the Czech police, and let me remind you that at that time it seemed strange to everyone, how could an expensive horse simply disappear, and here is Zazu now on his way home, and I paid to get him back the amount of $ 18,<>, which is the value set by the Czech authorities when he was stolen."

Czech media reported in March that Chechen President Ramadan Kadyrov's horse was stolen from a stable in the village of Krapšici in the Litomris region, western Czech Republic, for an estimated price of $18,<>.

According to Russia's Novosti news agency, Kadyrov said at the time that his horse, Zazu, became the first victim of Western sanctions targeting him and his family since 2014.

The Czech police said at the time, they received a report of the theft of a horse from a stable in the village of Krapcice, and estimated that the theft occurred on the night of 3-4 of last March, and confirmed that its crews are investigating the merits of the incident, and are conducting intensive search for the thief.

Police pointed out that the 16-year-old horse has a distinctive disorganized star mark on his forehead, as well as a white mark below the knee of his right hind leg.
