Teddy Riner won, this Saturday in Doha, his 11th world champion title of +100 kg. However, the three-time Olympic champion was put to the mat by a strong opponent: his own daughter. It was the judoka himself who published images of this "fight" on his Twitter account.

"To close this incredible day," he wrote in the caption of the video. As in an official fight, the little girl, aged 4 and a half, greets her father before entering the tatami. Encouraged by spectators chanting her name (Ysis), she walks over to her father and grabs his kimono before making an inner mow for him. Defeated, Teddy Riner collapses to the ground. The video, posted Sunday, has been viewed nearly a million times.

From the first round to the final

Forfeited at the 2022 edition due to an ankle injury last summer, Teddy Riner, who had only been able to play an individual tournament since, was not seeded and had to go through a first round against Romanian Vladut Simionescu, 25th in the world. He made it to the final not without difficulty.
