Syrian Foreign Minister: We are working with our Arab brothers to face the challenges we are all facing

The Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Faisal Mekdad, stressed that the participation of the Syrian delegation in the preparatory meetings for the Arab summit aims to work with the Arab brothers to identify the data to face the challenges facing everyone.

Dr. Mekdad said in a press statement upon his arrival at Jeddah airport: "The title of this summit is joint Arab action and we look forward to the future," adding: "This is a new opportunity for us to tell our Arab brothers that we are not looking to the past, but to the future, there are many challenges that we must discuss and mobilize our Arab forces to face them, including the issue of the Arab-Israeli conflict and the climate issue."

This evening, an official Syrian delegation arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport to participate in the preparatory meetings for the Arab summit scheduled to be held on May 19, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, the Minister of Information, Dr. Boutros Al-Hallaq, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Ayman Sousan, and the Director of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jamal Najib.

The delegation was received by Minister Plenipotentiary of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mazen bin Hamad Al-Hamali, and Ambassador Salman Al-Mutairi from the Protocol Department at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
