After "Kippi", the cigarette butt and "Mülli", the rubbish heap, one can now also encounter a walking dog poop of enormous proportions on the streets of Offenbach. There's someone in it – up to their necks and beyond. Not in what it's supposed to look like, but in a costume called "Shitti". The matter is serious, no joke, because "Shitti" warns dog owners not to carelessly leave the final digestive products of their beloved four-legged friends on the sidewalk instead of collecting them properly. In an emergency, a fine of 150 euros is due.

Carelessly discarded waste in public spaces is very annoying in any case, the city clarifies. Stepping into a dog poop is even more annoying. That's why the new littering campaign "Respect Offenbach" is specifically dedicated to the nuisance of dog poop.

The public order office and municipal utilities are convinced that the walking act in the form of a dog poop effectively combats misconduct in matters of animal need in a "humorous and sympathetic way". Paul-Gerhard Weiß (FDP), head of the public order department, emphasizes that dog owners are by no means placed under general suspicion. The vast majority disposed of the piles in an exemplary manner. Of course, you don't have anything against the four-legged friends. However, it is disgusting, inconsiderate and also punishable to simply leave dog excrement lying around.
