It will be the main equipment of the ZAC du Moulin-Boisseau, established on the site of the former site of the Système U group. A four-screen cinema will indeed see the light of day in 2025 south of Carquefou, in the northern suburbs of Nantes, said Nantes metropolis.

Called "Cinéma Confluences", the project, led by Cinessor, provides for a total capacity of 459 seats, including 14 places reserved for people with reduced mobility, as well as a large lobby. Solar collectors on the roof will allow self-consumption of electricity. An attendance of 115,000 admissions per year is envisaged.

Another cinema in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre

In addition to the cinema, an indoor leisure center, a health center, offices (6,000 m2), shops on the ground floor and, above all, 750 housing units are programmed on the ZAC du Moulin-Boisseau, entrusted to the developer Loire Océan métropole aménagement (Loma).

10 kilometers away, in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, another cinema project, larger (six screens), is launched. The complex, supported by the company Grand écran, should see the light of day at the end of 2024 in the Perrières district. The north and east of the Nantes conurbation are currently under-equipped with cinemas. Will they soon be over-equipped? The project leaders, as well as the elected officials of Carquefou and La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, think not.
