The Director General of Dubai Municipality, Dawood Al Hajri, said: "This comes as part of Dubai Municipality's plans to develop public beaches in the emirate and equip them with all services and facilities that provide a unique experience, and ensure the highest levels of comfort, luxury and quality of life for residents and tourists, in order to enhance Dubai's position at the top of the global tourism map and beach tourism destinations in particular. Swimming at the beach runs from sunset to sunrise the next day, making Dubai unique in providing this type of facility in the region. These beaches will be equipped with a qualified cadre of lifeguards equipped with all the necessary rescue and ambulance requirements to ensure that all standards and requirements of security and safety are met for the visitors of these beaches.

Dubai Municipality called on beachgoers to adhere to swimming at night in safe locations designated for this purpose, and to avoid entering the sea from other locations in order to preserve their safety. The municipality also called on beachgoers to be careful when descending the sea, and to adhere to the technical controls and guidelines described in all beaches, while adhering to the directives of lifeguards and monitoring children permanently, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of beaches.
