"The Gallant Knight 2" distributes food parcels to 600 medical staff in Lattakia

The delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent distributed food parcels to more than 600 medical staff working in hospitals in the Syrian province of Latakia, as part of the "Gentleman Knight 2" operation launched by the Joint Operations Command at the Ministry of Defense.

The delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent announced the continuation of the "We Have Not Forgotten You" initiative, whose second phase comes within the framework of the UAE's continuous humanitarian and relief efforts, in cooperation with the Syrian authorities and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.

300 food parcels were distributed at the National Hospital in Latakia, 150 in Qardaha and 150 in Jableh, in recognition of the efforts made by those sectors, which had the greatest role in alleviating the suffering of affected families since the earthquake of February 6.

Mohammed Khamis Al Kaabi, head of the Emirates Red Crescent delegation in Syria, explained that the "We Did Not Forget You" humanitarian initiative, organized by the Emirates Red Crescent as part of the "Gentleman Knight 2" operation, aimed at distributing food parcels to more than 600 doctors and nurses who had the largest role since the earthquake in Syria in caring for the wounded and injured, noting that this initiative comes as a continuation of the continuous giving of the United Arab Emirates towards the brothers in Syria.

The first phase of the initiative aimed to distribute food parcels and clothes to more than 500 cleaners in Syria's Latakia province.

The UAE continues its efforts to support our brothers in the Syrian Arab Republic during the recovery and rehabilitation phase by providing foodstuffs, medical supplies and medicines on an ongoing basis and identifying the needs of different sectors, within several axes aimed at psychological and social support to alleviate their suffering.
