The Federal National Council will hold next Tuesday, its tenth session of the fourth ordinary session of the seventeenth legislative term, under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Council, Saqr Ghobash, to discuss the topic of "the impact of legislation regulating labor market activities on economic variables in the country", and members of the Council will ask 5 questions to government representatives.
According to the agenda of the session, two questions will be addressed to Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the first from the Second Deputy Speaker of the Council, Naema Abdullah Al-Sharhan, on "delivery bikes", the second from member Humaid Ali Alabbar, about "drug users among young citizens", while two other members will address two questions to the Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, the first from member Obaid Khalfan Al-Salami. On "Reducing Cancer Rates", the second from member Dr. Hind Humaid bin Aleeli, on "the mechanism for evaluating treatment institutions outside the country to which patients are sent", and finally member Ahmed Abdullah Al-Shehhi, addresses a question to the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdul Manan Al Awar, about "Recruiting domestic workers with a tourist visa".
During the session, the members of the Council are briefed on the letters issued to the government regarding the recommendations of the subject of "organizing volunteer work", and the recommendations of the subject of "the policy of the General Sports Authority regarding the support and development of the sports sector in the country", as well as the draft laws received from the government that were referred to the competent committees as a matter of urgency, as three draft laws were referred to the Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee, regarding the adoption of the consolidated final account of the Federation (consolidated financial statements) for the fiscal year ending on 31/12/2022, and on Procurement in the federal government, and on the organization of partnership between the federal public sector and the private sector, while a draft federal law on the regulation of places of worship for non-Muslims was referred to the Committee on Social Affairs, Labor, Population and Human Resources.
