Saudi Arabia extends the length of stay for Sudanese Umrah pilgrims and launches their hosting service

Today, Thursday, the General Directorate of Saudi Passports began procedures to extend the duration of residence for visas for Sudanese Umrah pilgrims in the Kingdom who are difficult to return to their country in light of the current crisis, and the launch of the "Hosting Sudanese Umrah Pilgrims" service on the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform "Absher Individuals", for citizens and residents who wish to host them.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday that "hosting allows Umrah performers by their families or acquaintances residing in the Kingdom or citizens to convert the Umrah visa into a visit visa (family or personal) according to the conditions announced on the Absher platform, with the possibility of amending the host's name in the Umrah register and exempting them from financial fees for the first time, for those who cannot leave at the moment."

Jawazat indicated that those wishing to benefit from the service must enter the website of the "Absher Individuals" platform https://www.absher.sa then My Services - Jawazat - Tawasul - Select the section (visit visas) - Choose the service (request to host Sudanese Umrah pilgrims) and attach a copy of the expatriate's passport and a copy of the arrival visa, with the requirement to submit the application from the host's account and write a brief explanation of the application in the "Application Description" box.
