Kiev: 'The situation in Bakhmut remains difficult'
The situation in Bakhmut remains "difficult", but the Ukrainian armed forces partially destroyed the brigade of Russian regular forces that was attacking Bakhmut, the 72nd independent motorized brigade.
This was stated by the spokesman of the military command of eastern Ukraine Sergy Cherevatyi quoted by the Guardian.
Cherevatyi argues that Moscow is increasingly forced to use regular army units due to heavy losses suffered by the Wagner Group. "Unfortunately they have not yet destroyed the entire brigade, two companies have been seriously damaged," explained the spokesman of the Eastern Command, and "the situation in Bakhmut remains difficult because for the enemy, despite all the white noise that Prigozhin is trying to create, it is the main direction of attack, the main coveted target."
