AED 726 million worth of French trades in UAE stocks in 2022

French investors have strengthened their investments in the local capital markets over the past years in light of the growing relations and strategic partnership between the UAE and France, which extended to all aspects and fields, including the stock markets. According to a monitoring based on official data from the Dubai and Abu Dhabi markets, French trades recorded buying and selling in local markets worth AED 726.2 million, after trading 130.5 million shares through 5703,2022 transactions executed during <>.

The value of French buying and selling on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange reached AED 386.4 million, with more than 58.3 million shares traded last year through the execution of about 3848,<> transactions.

The French recorded purchases on the Abu Dhabi market last year of about 20.76 million shares, worth more than AED 165.8 million through 1672 transactions, compared to sales of about 37.5 million shares worth AED 220.5 million through the execution of 2176 transactions.

The French are among the top 20 nationalities investing in the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, with them ranking 18th in 2022.

The French have achieved active trading in the Abu Dhabi market over the past years, where the value of their trading in the Abu Dhabi market was distributed by AED 77.5 million, trading 36.2 million shares in 2017, about AED 45.9 million, trading 10.77 million shares in 2018, AED 156.26 million, trading 45.19 million shares in 2019, AED 110.03 million, trading 20.9 million shares in 2020, and AED 373.8 million, trading 54.18 million shares in 2021.

In the Dubai Financial Market, the value of French buying and selling traded reached about 340 million dirhams after trading more than 72 million shares through 1855 deals, during the past year. The French made purchases on the Dubai market last year worth 257.3 million dirhams on about 56.5 million shares through 889 transactions, compared to sales of 82.4 million dirhams on about 15.6 million shares through 966 deals.

French purchases on the DFM amounted to AED 70.9 million on 83.1 million shares in 2017, AED 26.87 million distributed over 17.5 million shares in 2018, AED 68.2 million distributed over 41.5 million shares in 2019, and AED 29.7 million distributed over 12.7 million shares in 2020.
