A 26-year-old man was tried before the criminal court of Valence (Drôme), Tuesday. He was charged with sexual assault on a teenager and several acts of corruption of minors. The defendant offered them meals at McDonald's or sports betting against nude photos of them, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

The facts occurred between 2018 and 2019, when he was 21 years old. On Snapchat, the man sent nude photos to his young victims and encouraged them to do the same by offering them money most of the time.

Two years in prison

These included the 13-year-old who was sexually assaulted after being invited by the defendant to a hotel room. At the hearing, the man claimed that this was a consensual act.

Subjected to a psychological expertise, he was declared suffering from a sexual addiction and an attraction to minors. He also explained that he himself was a victim of sexual assault in his youth. The man was sentenced to two years in prison and will have to undergo treatment for five years.
