The association Le Mur de Reims (Marne) and the CHU of the city have been working together since Monday to create an ephemeral fresco in tribute to organ donors and their families. The Alsatian street artist Williann has been commissioned to realize the work whose inauguration is scheduled in his presence on May 13, reports France 3 Grand-Est.

Freeing the word around organ donation

The creation will remain visible in the rue Gerbert for three months. It aims to free speech around organ donation. "It is a call to meet and become aware of this theme, to push people to talk about it in the street," commented MAT x ZEKKY, co-founders of the Mur de Reims.

The association has also set up a kitty to allow the new premises of the future hospital to have a permanent fresco. This will allow the CHU to "create a place of memory intended for the expression of gratitude to donors of elements of their body for transplantation". The campaign is open until June 22, 2023.
