An American teenager broke a record by being admitted to... 185 different universities. The 16-year-old, who has excellent academic results, wants to study computer science, then law, reports CNN.

In August 2022, he began sending his application to several universities in the United States. Quickly, favorable responses began to rain. "As I applied to more schools, as the number grew, with financial aid and acceptances in universities, I became intrigued," he told our colleagues.

Ten million dollars in scholarship offers

When the young man learned that he was approaching the record for university admissions, he simply decided to beat it. Thus, he obtained nearly ten million dollars (about 9.1 million euros) in scholarship offers! The record holder finally decided to join Cornell University in New York State to pursue a computer science course. According to him, this school, which he considers the "best Ivy League for engineering," "prepares [has] for success" and "gives [has] a quality education."
