The new vintage of the dictionary has arrived. Some 150 words make their debut in the 2023 edition of Petit Robert, unveiled by France Inter on Tuesday. Among them, many expressions used in particular in the media such as "complosphere", which designates the conspiracy community, or "nasser", which describes the action of taking demonstrators in a trap.

There are also words and expressions used in everyday language and more by young people. For example, "bader", which can mean depressing, "ghoster", when a person completely ignores another especially by message, to have a "crush" is to have a crush on someone, or "to be in PLS", for "lateral position of safety", which refers to the fact of feeling bad.

As for proper names, Elisabeth Borne, French Prime Minister, the philosopher Geneviève Fraisse, or the freshly crowned Charles III also make their entrance in the Petit Robert.
