Supreme Council member Thae Yong-ho, who had drawn the line that there was no voluntary resignation before the
Ethics Committee.

Ethics Commission Chairman Hwang Jung-geun has said that he will consider disciplinary action if a political solution emerges, leaving open all possibilities, including voluntary resignation.

If a severe disciplinary sentence of one year of suspension of party membership is issued, it will be interpreted that he will not be nominated for next year's general elections and will have to offer the position of chairman of the party cooperation committee, so he will weigh the interests of the party.

However, he also confessed that he was worried about stepping down from the elected position of Supreme Council after two months.

[Thae Yong-ho/Supreme Committee Member of the People's Power: The party members elected me and sent me to the leadership, but I have not yet decided enough whether I can throw it lightly and easily. If you ask the responsible party members even through opinion polls....]

Supreme Council Member Kim Jae-won maintained his position yesterday, dismissing the possibility of voluntary resignation.

[Kim Jae-won/Supreme Committee Member of the People's Power: I have not heard from anyone about whether he will voluntarily resign.]

Within the party, there is an atmosphere that induces the voluntary resignation of the two top committee members until the last minute.

If severe disciplinary action is imposed while remaining in office, they are worried that the internal investigation may continue as they fight back with a request for reconsideration or a lawsuit.

Representative Kim Ki-hyun said that there will be no leadership vacuum, but [Kim Ki-hyun/Representative of the People's Power: There may be some vacancies, but how is that a vacuum

? Then all the other leadership becomes invisible?]

Without voluntary resignation, two of the five elected members of the Supreme Council may be absent, deepening the party's concerns.
