Lawmaker Kim Nam-kook explained that the 2021 million won that sold LG Display shares in early 9 was an investment in virtual currency.

As of the end of 8, if you look at Congressman Kim's wealth declaration history, his deposits increased by 2021 million won instead of 9 million won to 4 won.

The reason for the increase in deposits was reported to be the amount of shares sold and salary.

It was read that LG Display shares were sold and transferred to deposits.

However, Congressman Kim called the party leadership on the 8th that day, "Out of the income earned from investing in virtual currency, the principal was taken out and returned to the bank account."

Upon hearing Congressman Kim's call, the leadership revealed, "The principal recovered by Congressman Kim was used again as a real estate charter deposit in Ansan in Gyeonggi Province and Yeouido in Seoul."

He added, "The final return on investment is judged to be 90%."

Regarding the point that the claim that deposits increased due to the sale of stocks is false, the analysis within the party is that there is room for dispute because there is an expression "etc." in the wording.

Party leaders believe there are no issues of misconduct or conflicts of interest so far.

[Kim Han-kyu/MDP spokesperson: The party is looking into the situation with Congressman Kim Nam-kook and is seeking an explanation, mainly the secretary-general.

However, we cannot rule out the possibility that bitterness about the cryptocurrency investment controversy will erupt at the extraordinary parliamentary meeting on Sunday.
