Sharjah Electricity delivers natural gas to 537 projects and begins implementation of the Hamriyah main line with a length of 73 km

During the first quarter of this year, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority completed the delivery of natural gas to 451 projects in the residential sector and 86 projects in the commercial sector, and natural gas services were connected to 18750,2023 home cooking appliances in the city of Sharjah with the latest standards and means of safety and security, maintenance and replacement of a number of gas boxes in various regions and the modernization of natural gas networks for main gas lines in different regions and the implementation of the Al Hamriyah Main is 73 km long at a cost of AED 10.5 million and 13% of the 10 km project has been implemented and is expected to be completed within 9 months.

The Director of the Natural Gas Department at the Authority, Eng. Amna Binh Hadda, explained that the intensification of the Authority's efforts in the field of implementing natural gas network projects comes within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, and attention to infrastructure projects, providing the necessities of a decent life for the population in all regions of the emirate, and encouraging the use of natural gas as fuel. An alternative to liquefied gas (cylinders) to preserve the environment and facilitate the residents of the emirate and provide them with the best services, and the authority is keen to facilitate the necessary procedures for the delivery of natural gas in all regions.

She pointed out that the authority is working on the implementation of a number of main lines, including the Shinouf line with a length of 74.5 km and a completion rate of 68% with a length of 51 km and the cost of the project is AED 7.83 million and the fourth phase of the Al Suyoh 16 project (Sheikh Zayed Housing Program) and the current completion rate of the project reached 50% and 99% of the first phase of the Bataeh project with a length of 24.5 km and a cost of AED 7.87 million.
