"It's been a whole year since we created La Nupes, of course it was difficult, of course it remains difficult, of course it's complicated, so what? Do you have to do the easy things in life? Then it would be done quickly!" said Jean-Luc Mélenchon on the sidelines of a "march of all anger" in the second city of France.

He criticized the press and the number of articles to "explain the problems that would exist". "Everything is rotten in this system, the accessory, the stupid is highlighted, and what matters, which is serious, done with work is relativized," he regretted, citing for example the adoption Thursday in the Assembly of a bill against the dismantling of EDF carried by the left.

Against the advice of the government, the National Assembly adopted Thursday this text to "protect EDF from a dismemberment", which also intends to expand the number of companies and communities benefiting from regulated electricity tariffs.

This bill, carried by the left and supported by the right and the National Rally, was validated by 127 votes to 89, with one abstention.

The left alliance Nupes, concluded a year ago between Insoumis, socialists, ecologists and communists, blew out Thursday its first candle thwarting the most pessimistic forecasts, even if the stumbling blocks accumulate in the run-up to future elections, especially European elections in a year.
