Man loses 12,<> dirhams trying to buy Mauritanian currency

The Al Dhafra Court of First Instance ordered a man to pay the last 12,<> dirhams, which he transferred to his account in order to convert it into Mauritanian currency (ounce), but he did not implement the agreement.

In the details, a man filed a lawsuit against another and a bank, demanding that the first defendant be obliged to pay him 12,<> dirhams, which he transferred to his bank account, on the basis that the first defendant would pay the corresponding currency of the State of Mauritania, but the first defendant took the amount and refrained from returning it.

During the consideration of the lawsuit, the plaintiff attended, and the first defendant did not attend, despite the previous communication with him by the minutes of the lawsuit via «WhatsApp» court, through his phone number, and introduced himself by voice message, and provided a copy of his passport, and a reply note summarizing that he acknowledges and admits that the plaintiff put in his account 12 thousand dirhams, and that he is outside the country, and he has no objection to returning the amount in his account, and stated that he will not be able to attend the session because he is abroad for 15 days.

The court stated in the reasoning of the judgment that it is established through the «deposit chip» and the statement of the second defendant bank, that the plaintiff deposited a total amount of 12 thousand dirhams in two installments in the account of the first defendant, and that the latter acknowledged in the reply memorandum submitted and signed by him that the plaintiff put in his bank account the amount of the claim, and that he is outside the country, and he has no objection to returning the amount, which is considered evidence against him, and it must be ruled that he must pay the amount.

The court ordered the first defendant to pay the plaintiff 12,<> dirhams and expenses.
