People's Power Representative Kim Ki-hyun expressed strong regret to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, which harshly refutes the content of President Yoon Seok-yeol's speech to the US Congress, which described the Battle of Jangjin Lake in the June 6 war as a "miracle."

Representative Kim pointed out on social media, "China's Foreign Ministry has set out to disparage the summit talks with the absurd distortion of history as 'a great victory in the anti-US aid war.'"

In particular, regarding the expression "hair will be broken and bleeding," Kim wrote, "You are blatantly stirring up the emotions of our people by making gruesome comments, and I cannot help but express my deep regret at China's excessive rudeness."

He emphasized, "While we believe that the future of the two countries should not be held back by the painful past history left by the war, it is unacceptable for China to distort the past history and undermine the national character while stirring up the emotions of our people."

At a regular briefing yesterday (25 March), Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning characterized the Battle of Changjin Lake as a "victory in the anti-US aid war" and made a tough statement, saying, "Standing on the opposite side of the trend of historical development, believing in strength, bullying the weak, going against the trend of the times, and expanding aggression will surely break the head and bleed."

Kim also criticized the MDP's "silence" on China.

Representative Kim criticized, "The MDP, which has been raising anti-Japanese sentiment by singing bamboo chants day after day, is passive about China's distortion of history and damage to national character."
