Beijing: 'We work for peace in Ukraine'

Sunak-Meloni: "Peace in Ukraine? Only if acceptable to Kiev"

There was obviously also room for the Ukrainian dossier in the face-to-face meeting held today in London by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, with the British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak. This was underlined by Downing Street in the evening communiqué that summarized the contents of the talks, confirming the wide-ranging harmony of the two leaders: including on the need to continue "to support Ukraine" in the war with Russia and to hope for peace only on condition that "its terms are acceptable to the Ukrainian people".
