Ras Al Khaimah civilian controls a fire that broke out in a large shop without injuries
Four fire brigades from the Civil Defense Department in Ras Al Khaimah controlled a fire that broke out this evening in one of the major shops located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Street in the evening without causing injuries, and the fire brigades were able to prevent the fire from spreading to a large nearby shop.
The Director of the Civil Defense Department in Ras Al Khaimah, Brigadier General Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, said that the operations received a report at eight o'clock this evening to a room about a fire in one of the major shops opposite the popularity of Ras Al Khaimah on Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Street, where a fire brigade was immediately sent from the management center to the place of the fire, led by the Acting Deputy Director of the Civil Defense Department in Ras Al Khaimah, Colonel Hamad Salmeen, and arrived within four minutes to the site.
He explained that in light of the development of the fire, three additional fire brigades were called from the centers of Al-Daqdaqa, Al-Jazeera Al-Hamra and Al-Raffa, while the firefighters began to surround the fire using water and foam "foam" and prevent its development and extension to another nearby commercial market, where their efforts were crowned with success without resulting in any injuries.
He pointed out that the process of extinguishing and cooling the fire took a full hour, in which the firefighters made every effort to reduce any losses at the human and material levels, adding that the causes of the fire are not yet known and the file was handed over to the competent authorities in Ras Al Khaimah Police to conduct the necessary action and identify its causes.
Al Zaabi praised the fire brigades and the keenness of their members to harness all their expertise in dealing with the fire, which contributed to the speed of controlling it, reducing its material losses and preventing any physical injuries, praising the cooperation of the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, the Public Services Department and the Union Electricity and Water Company in dealing with the fire and their presence in the place, which had a prominent role in controlling it.
