a test launch of a very large rocket designed to carry people to
Mars failed. Developed by SpaceX, a space company led by Elon Musk, the rocket is large enough to carry 100 people and although it failed to launch, experts consider it a great achievement.

roars and bursts into flames, and a huge rocket soars into the sky.

The black rocket Starship at the top and the white rocket Super Heavy at the bottom are two assembled super-sized rockets, 120 meters tall and larger than the Statue of Liberty.

However, the rocket, which was flying smoothly, suddenly began to spin before the separation of the first and second stages, [John Insprucker/Chief Engineer: It should have been separated by now, but the whole rocket is spinning,

which certainly doesn't seem to be a normal situation.]

Eventually, it explodes within four minutes of launch.

There is a mixture of regret and cheers among the onlookers.

The mega-rocket test-fired this time was developed by SpaceX, a space company led by Tesla founder Elon Musk, to carry people and cargo to Mars.

So far, manned rockets can only carry four people, but this Starship rocket can carry 100 passengers and 150 tons of cargo.

Experts say that the successful flight of such a super-sized rocket is a great achievement in itself.

[Leroy Chiao/Former NASA astronaut: Just to launch this much of the largest rocket ever launched is a huge success.]

[Tanya Harrison/Outer Space Lab: I wouldn't be surprised if a man could go to Mars on a Starship rocket in 10 years, maybe in 10 to 15 years, even if we hold it as long as possible.]

SpaceX plans to test launch again in the coming months.
