The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, has arrived in Warsaw where he is on a state visit. The Head of State will later meet with representatives of the Italian community and Italian officials from Frontex and ODIHR.

Tomorrow, accompanied by his daughter Laura, he will go to the Presidential Palace where he will have a meeting with the President of the Republic of Poland Andrezej Duda. At the end of the talks, at 12.15 the two heads of state will make statements to the press. Mattarella will lay a laurel wreath at the sacellum of the unknown soldier and in the afternoon he will be in the city center before dinner at the presidential palace.

Tuesday 18 at 10 am at the building of the Chancellery Mattarella will meet Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, then at the Parliament building where he will be welcomed by the President of the Sejm Elzabieta Witek, and immediately after at the wing of the building where the Senate is located he will meet President Tomasz Grodzi. At 13 pm the President of the Republic is expected in Krakow from where he will reach the Auschwitz-Birkenau museum that he will visit together with the Italian students and the sisters Andra and Tatiana Bucci survivors of the Shoah.

Then on the morning of April 19, the head of state will give a speech at the Jagiellonian University at 10:30 a.m. Afterwards he will visit the museum of the Collegium Maius, before leaving for Bratislava at 12.50 where he will begin the official visit to Slovakia.
