Fans of Plus belle la vie will have the right to their Proust madeleine. A specialized subsidiary of the TF1 group announced Wednesday the upcoming "exclusive" upload on YouTube of the first season of the soap opera that has marked French TV in 18 years of existence.

The first season will be broadcast from April 17, starting with 10 episodes on the first day, then two per night, said Newen Studios, the subsidiary of TF1. Another season, the 16th, out of 18, is also to be rebroadcast by this channel on weekends.

Plus belle la vie is the longest running series ever produced in France, originally broadcast on France 3. Filmed in the fictional Marseille district of the Mistral, it was stopped by France Télévisions at the end of 2022. The soap opera was able to attract up to six million viewers per night.
