The first hydrogen filling station in Hauts-de-Seine was inaugurated in Issy-les-Moulineaux on Saturday. André Santini, UDI mayor of the commune, wants to make his city the departmental capital of hydrogen, reports Le Parisien. During the event, a first demonstration was made. In three minutes, a car was loaded and was ready to travel between 500 and 700 km without generating pollution.

For the editor, this resource "makes it possible to read the future of transport in the present time". A second station should also see the light of day in the commune. In addition to distributing hydrogen, it should produce hydrogen. The president of the development company of Grand Paris Seine Ouest explained for his part that several stations were in preparation on the territory.

The start-up Hype, a pioneer in hydrogen mobility, has announced that 26 stations should be built in Ile-de-France before 2025. The private partners did not wish to disclose the precise amount of their investment. The City of Issy-les-Moulineaux has announced that it has invested 200,000 euros in this project. The first station has a distribution capacity of 200 kg of gas per day.
