The MDP characterized last month's summit between South Korea and Japan as a "humiliating meeting" and called for an apology from President Yoon Seok-yeol.

[Kim Sang-hee/MDP lawmaker: It was a humiliating meeting that trampled on the human rights of victims of forced mobilization, dropped the national character to the ground, and deeply hurt the pride of our people....]

Prime Minister Han Deok-su retorted that he could not agree with the opposition's assessment, saying that relations between South Korea and Japan in the last government were the worst.

[Han Deok-su/Prime Minister: In short, there was almost no dialogue between the two countries, in the last government. The relationship between Korea and Japan that I understand was the worst....]

He said that the meeting cleared a big stone in the relationship between the two countries.

There has been a back-and-forth over the opposition's claim that the government's solution is more backward than the forced mobilization solution proposed by the Japanese side during the Moon Jae-in administration.

[Han Deok-su/Prime Minister: What you are saying is a statement that misleads the people.]

[Rep. Kim Byung-ju/Democrat: It's not even a misstatement at all.]

[Han Deok-su/Prime Minister: We have never come close to reaching a settlement (on the issue of compensating victims for forced mobilization).]

Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon said of the Constitutional Court's decision that the so-called "inspection and inspection" bill was not invalid, "It is a problematic decision, but we respect it," in response to the opposition's call to reverse the rule of the decree, which goes against the spirit of the higher law.

[Han Dong-hoon/Minister of Justice: The word coup is a coined phrase in itself. On the contrary, it is more problematic to legislate excessively while defecting from the party just before the regime change...]

In the government's questions on the economic sector scheduled for tomorrow, the issue of the Grain Management Act, in which President Yun is likely to exercise his right to demand reconsideration, is likely to be the biggest issue.
