Fifteen men aged between 25 and 40 were arrested on Tuesday at Orly airport (Val-de-Marne) during an operation by the Border Police (PAF). All offered to pack travelers' luggage for 10 euros, against 13 euros offered by the only company approved by Groupe ADP of the airport, reports Le Parisien. A preliminary investigation had been opened in 2022 by the Créteil package and had led to surveillance, to know the organization of these illegal workers.

Some men in an irregular situation

During the arrests, the equipment of these men was seized, as well as 4,000 euros in cash. All are of African nationality and were particularly targeting travellers from Terminal 4 who were travelling to the Maghreb or Africa.

At the end of their hearings, six of the men were brought before a magistrate as part of a guilty plea procedure. They were fined and banned from Orly for five years. The seizures were confiscated. Seven men are subject to an Obligation to leave French territory (OQTF). Finally, one was placed in an administrative detention centre (CRA) and the last suspect was released.
