Pakistani President praises UAE's relief efforts to help his country

Dr. Arif Alvi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, praised the UAE's efforts to help Pakistan and its people through significant humanitarian and relief support, especially in the wake of many natural disasters that hit the country.

The UAE Consul General in Karachi, Bakhit Ateeq Al Rumaithi, received an award in recognition of the UAE's efforts in the field of aid and relief in Pakistan.

The award was presented during a ceremony held by the global charity Ceylani and the Presidential Initiative Fund for Artificial Intelligence and Computing launched by the President of Pakistan, in the presence of the Governor of Sindh province Kamran Tessuri.

During the ceremony, the UAE's efforts to provide relief and humanitarian assistance to needy families across Pakistan were highlighted, including initiatives to provide safe drinking water and the establishment of mobile healthcare clinics in Sindh and Balochistan provinces.

During the ceremony, they also praised the solidarity of the UAE leadership with the Pakistani people in addressing the effects of earthquakes and floods that struck the country, as well as in confronting the COVID-19 pandemic.
