Khalaf Al Habtoor Charity Campaign kicks off for the Holy Month of Ramadan

Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group Khalaf bin Ahmed Al Habtoor has launched the Ramadan charity campaign to distribute around 80,<> meals to needy people during the holy month in the UAE and Lebanon.

The campaign started by distributing more than 15,7500 food units in Lebanon to all the needy and poor in various Lebanese regions. In the UAE, 60,<> meals will be distributed during the holy month to labor gatherings in the Emirate of Dubai, in addition to the Iftar tent set up in the lobby of the Al-Farouq Omar bin Al-Khattab Mosque and Center, may God be pleased with him, and <>,<> meals will be distributed during the holy month.

Khalaf Al Habtoor said: "The Ramadan charity campaign is part of a series of initiatives we are undertaking at the Al Habtoor Group, and is part of our social responsibility to secure the needs of needy families, provide them with their basic needs, and draw a smile and bring them joy in these blessed days."

In parallel, the campaign started distributing Al Meer Ramadan cards, which enable beneficiaries to freely purchase food items according to the needs of the family, where Khalaf Al Habtoor provided 1000,250 Mir Ramadan cards to support needy families across the UAE in cooperation with the Esaad team of the Dubai Police General Headquarters. In addition, <> Mir cards will be provided to eligible families in the Emirate of Dubai according to pre-prepared statements from those approved by the Aid Committee, based on a study of the families' conditions and living conditions.

Al Habtoor added, "I have an integrated team to manage charitable work under my direct supervision that receives applications, studies them and identifies needs, with the aim of meeting all requirements and working to solve them."

On the other hand, the Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque and Centre in Dubai, which was renovated by Khalaf Al Habtoor and opened to the public in 2011, has completed all its preparations to receive worshippers and fasting throughout the holy month of Ramadan by providing facilities and services that create a spiritual atmosphere for worshipers.

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Faris Al-Mustafa will deliver daily religious lectures after the Asr prayer, which will be broadcast live on the mosque's social media pages, namely Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. The mosque also broadcasts Friday prayers, Taraweeh, Laylat al-Qadr and Eid al-Fitr live on social media.

The Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque and Centre also welcomes non-Muslim communities to familiarize them with the core values of Islam and the UAE's culture and traditions. Communities will have the opportunity to experience the essence of the holy month by participating in iftar meals alongside Muslims.

Khalaf bin Ahmed Al Habtoor is a pioneer of philanthropy in the Arab world and the world. He has made great contributions in various fields, most notably providing a scholarship to a hundred Afghan girls to complete their university studies, holding a mass wedding for a hundred Emirati youth to build a cohesive and stable family, ensuring the purchase of ten smart machines programmed to prepare bread and providing it free of charge to the needy and workers within the Sabeel bread initiative, allocating 300 hotel rooms to house families affected by rain and floods in the eastern regions of the country, establishing Harar Hospital in Akkar, north Lebanon, and the Medical Simulation Center at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Complex. Medical Center, Command Center at the University of Illinois in the United States of America, has received a grant of US$ 2.8 million for the "Call for Help Philippines" campaign launched by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority to alleviate the suffering of displaced Syrians in Jordan and Lebanon, and many others, based on its belief in the right of everyone to live a dignified and peaceful life without discrimination through giving and sharing.
