The Business Forum focused on opportunities to strengthen economic, commercial and scientific cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of innovation, green and energy transition, infrastructure and agritech.

"Serbia is a strategic partner to face common challenges, starting with the security of the European continent and the fight against irregular migratory flows. Italy's full support for the Serbian EU integration process," Tajani wrote on Twitter.

"We would like the war in Ukraine to end immediately, we don't care who wins or loses, we care about peace," Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said. "Peace was once the most important word in the world. Serbia wants peace, we hope that when it arrives it will be for the good of all, but I fear that this will not be the case. Everyone is just waiting for a victory or a certain defeat of the other side".
