The campaign falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, and aims to help the less fortunate, and opens a new door of effort for individuals, companies, businessmen and well-known personalities in humanitarian work, thus consolidating the culture of endowment.

Dubai Duty Free, through Dubai Duty Free, has pledged AED 20 million over three years to contribute to the activation of sustainable programmes to combat and eradicate hunger in the world.

Colm McLoughlin, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Duty Free, said: "The 'Stop One Billion Meals' campaign is a new inspirational initiative launched by the UAE to provide sustainable food support to the less fortunate on a global scale. We are honored by the contribution of Dubai Duty Free Foundation to this endowment fund for the relief of the needy around the world."

The "Stop One Billion Meals" campaign complements the successes achieved by previous food feeding campaigns that began in the holy month of Ramadan 2020 with the 10 million meals campaign, and recorded contributions that exceeded the target of 15.3 million meals, and the 100 million meals campaign in Ramadan 2021, which doubled the number of meals distributed to reach the equivalent of 220 million meals through the donations of 385,51 donors from 320 nationalities, in addition to the "One Billion Meals" campaign last Ramadan, which succeeded in achieving the goal in less than 868,50 donors contributed and food was distributed in <> countries around the world.

The "Stop One Billion Meals" campaign aims to provide a food safety net for the most vulnerable groups, especially in countries that are facing challenges in providing food security, which supports the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the year 2030, of which the fight against hunger is one of the most important 17 goals that humanity is concerted efforts to achieve.

The "Stop One Billion Meals" campaign seeks to find sustainable solutions to address hunger and its causes and contain its repercussions, and to implement targeted programs, projects and initiatives, within systematic plans and specific targets to combat hunger and support the most vulnerable groups in the world, in cooperation and coordination with humanitarian and charitable institutions in the countries and communities concerned.
