Saudi Arabia launches 6 new initiatives to enhance its cybersecurity
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Sunday launched six new initiatives in the field of cybersecurity during its hosting of the first edition of its prominent information event "National Cybersecurity Forum" in the capital Riyadh.
A Saudi official statement said on Sunday that the Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority held its forum, during which 6 launches were revealed to enhance the cybersecurity system in the Kingdom under the slogan "Cybersecurity is defense, empowerment and development."
These included cyber threat intelligence services, the addition of new services in the National Cybersecurity Services Portal "Hasseen", the Cyber Enablement Package, and the National Cybersecurity Awareness Program "Aman" in strategic partnership with the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).
In addition, the launch of the second edition of the Cybersecurity Sector Development Program and the Cybersecurity Innovation Program in cooperation with NEOM and the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE).
These launches come "as part of the Authority's efforts to raise the readiness of national entities to address renewable cyber risks, achieve its strategic objectives in developing the cybersecurity sector, and stimulate the local industry system and innovation in the sector."
The forum included 7 dialogue sessions discussing the importance of enhancing the integration of efforts in the cybersecurity system at the national level, and facing the challenges of the cybersecurity sector.
