In addition to former President Moon Jae-in's message that the party's internal affairs should be resolved through "unity centered on representative Lee Jae-myung," some in the MDP screaming (non-Lee Jae-myung) circles reacted by repeatedly mentioning the "theory of Lee's resignation."

Former National Intelligence Commissioner Park Ji-won appeared on YTN radio on 17 March and claimed that former President Moon, whom he recently met, emphasized the general unity of the party centered on Lee.

"President Moon said, 'The Democratic Party should unite and do well, but we can't go out like that. Right now, there is no alternative but this representative, and you keep talking about 'what?'"

Assemblyman Pak Yong-jin also revealed that he visited former President Moon's residence in Pyeongsan Village in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, on 17 March and heard a message that "the party must be united."

Rep. Park wrote on Facebook that day, "The President also encouraged me that if the Democratic Party is a little different, if we decide to do something, if we unite around it, and show this kind of appearance, next year's general election will win the trust of the people."

"What is important in politics is not the difficulty of adverse events or conditions, but the way in which we overcome them," Park said, adding, "The people are seeing it and have advised us that if the Democratic Party overcomes difficulties well now and unites together, there will be good results."

Regarding the Facebook message, Rep. Park said in a media call, "There are always bad things in politics, and I meant that the people see the process and attitude of (the party) overcoming the bad things."

However, he added, "There was no mention of Lee Jae-myung."

In a separate Facebook post, Park said she had gifted Moon with two books (The Last Campaign and Nelson Mandela's Great Deals), adding, "The President also received two books and said, 'When a politician sows the seeds of hate, it amplifies the bottom and becomes really awesome among his supporters.'"

"(President Moon) was worried about the situation where the party was coordinating, text-bombing, hateful and hateful language, and the conflict between conservatives and progressives was dividing the country," he said.

Regarding Chairman Park's "message," lawmaker Lee Sang-min said on CBS Radio on 17 August, "President Moon said it excessively, and the person who delivered it also miscommunicated it. When President Moon tells us to, everything moves in unison."

Lawmaker Lee pointed out that "'there is no alternative but Representative Lee' is President Moon's judgment, and such a story should not be talked about like that," adding, "Even if there was a story between former President Moon and former Chairman Park, it cannot be discussed externally."

He said, "For the sake of the party and for the sake of Chairman Lee, I believe that it is necessary to clean up his own resignation in order to put out the fire in a hurry," and reiterated his call for Chairman Lee's resignation, saying, "Rather than dragging it out and doing it after many controversies, it hurts Chairman Lee and the party."
