Free transportation by public transport in Ras Al Khaimah during Happiness Day

As part of its plan to encourage mass transport, Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), in cooperation with the operator of the internal public transport service Arabian Bus Company, launched the "Free Transportation" initiative for all users of public buses in Ras Al Khaimah, and this initiative comes as a translation of the Authority's first strategy "Making People Happy" and in line with the International Day of Happiness, which falls on March 20 of each year.

Eng. Ismail Hassan Al Balushi, Director General of the Authority, said that the Authority seeks, through the launch of several initiatives, to encourage residents and visitors of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to use mass transportation in their daily trips and transportation, which is the best option to reach their various destinations.

He added that DEWA is keen to encourage the public to use mass transportation by launching the "Free Transportation" initiative by public buses to coincide with the International Day of Happiness.

He explained that the public bus service covers four main routes in the emirate, namely the red track, the blue track, the green track and the purple track, and these routes include stoppoints in both directions and cover different geographical and vital areas in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, providing a safe and integrated transport network that contributes to achieving a smooth sustainable movement for all.
