The prefecture of Paris has banned gatherings on the Place de la Concorde and on the Champs-Élysées after two consecutive nights of protests against the pension reform that resulted in clashes between protesters and the police. "Due to serious risks of unrest and public safety problems, gatherings on the public street in Place de la Concorde and its surroundings as well as on the Avenue of the Champs-Élysées are prohibited," the prefecture said. "People who try to gather in those places will be systematically dispersed and can be identified by the police," the statement concluded.
