Dubai Municipality has launched the Hatta Souk event, which brings together traders and small business owners, to enable them to display their agricultural, commercial, handicraft and household products, which reflect the most important cultural and heritage features of the region.

The Acting Director of the Urban Heritage and Antiquities Department at the Municipality, Engineer Mansour Al-Rais, confirmed to Emirates Today that the Hatta Market event supports national traders and entrepreneurs by linking them with consumers, and providing the appropriate environment to see what they offer to the people of the region and its visitors.

He stated that the number of entrepreneurs participating in the event is five merchants, for whom the municipality worked to provide free exhibition stands, in addition to the necessary equipment such as equipment, electricity and other display requirements, and provided entertainment shows that attract families and shoppers.

He explained that the event, which is the first of its kind in the region, aims primarily to support and encourage traders and small business owners in the Hatta region, display their products, enhance the market position, and increase the demand for the area, which contains many natural places and entertainment events.

The event will continue until March 24, from ten in the morning until eight in the evening.

He stressed that the event constitutes a supportive step to activate the Hatta market and enhance its investment and economic aspect, by supporting investors, traders and small business owners from the people of Hatta, to display their agricultural, commercial and home craft products, which reflect the richness of the Hatta heritage and cultural area.

He added that the market will include a number of entertainment programs such as children's workshops, commercial sales platforms for food and coffee, traditional costumes, and local products that the Hatta region is famous for, such as honey and dates, in addition to providing platforms to market and display home and craft projects in which the residents of the region excel.

Souq Hatta is characterized by its exterior design, which combines traditional architecture with modern architecture.
