Senegal: Defamation trial of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko postponed to 30 March

In Senegal, the trial of Ousmane Sonko for defamation was postponed until 30 March. The opponent's defence had asked for a further postponement. Clashes broke out in several neighborhoods of Dakar during March 16, 2023. The capital has been placed under very high security for this risky trial for the leader of the party African Patriots of Senegal for Work, Ethics and Fraternity (Pastef), who denounces an instrumentalization of justice.
