President directs $3 million to support reconstruction of Palestinian town of Huwara

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed three million dollars to support the reconstruction of the Palestinian town of Huwara and those affected by the recent events.

The initiative will be implemented by the Department of Municipalities and Transport - Abu Dhabi in cooperation with the Emirati-Palestinian Friendship Club. This is part of the UAE's humanitarian efforts to support the brotherly Palestinian people.

The Department of Municipalities and Transport - Abu Dhabi held a meeting to discuss the mechanism of implementing the initiative and providing support. In the presence of Mohammed Ali Al-Shorafa, head of the department, and the Palestinian delegation, which included both Muin Dumaidi, Mayor of Huwara, Jalal Odeh, Mohammed Abdel Hamid, members of the municipal council, and Ammar Al-Kurd, head of the Emirati-Palestinian Friendship Club. The meeting also discussed enhancing prospects for joint cooperation in the field of municipal work between the two sides.

Mohammed Al-Shorafa welcomed the brotherly Palestinian delegation. He stressed the interest of the wise leadership of the UAE to support the Palestinian people and contribute to the redevelopment of the affected area in Huwara.

Al Shorafa said that the UAE's interest in supporting the brothers in Palestine stems from its firm positions in supporting the brothers and providing them with various forms of support and assistance.
