Zakharova called the US and EU statements about Russia's position on the grain deal hypocritical

Zakharova's comment was published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to TASS, State Department spokesman Ned Price said earlier that Washington does not agree that exemptions from Western sanctions against Russia regarding the export of Russian food and fertilizer do not work.

According to Zakharova, the comments of the US and EU representatives are striking in their "hypocrisy, unprofessionalism, complete distortion of real facts."

She also said that the decision taken by the Russian side to extend the grain deal for 60 days turned out to be a kind of “cold shower” for the US and the EU.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said that Russia decided to extend the grain deal for only 60 days due to the lack of progress in the supply of Russian food and fertilizers.
